And just a few more things

And just a few more things that were on my camera roll from Ellie.....and yes, Ellie likes parties.

Congrats, Grads!

These cutey girlies just had their grad party. Not gonna lie, I did NOT enjoy the planning process. I mean, do I really care about a balloon arch? Or see the critical importance of a giant "2025" sign (which, I must point out, took poor Jared HOURS to put together)? No, I do not. I don't care about such things. But the girlies did, so poor Jared burned himself countless times with a glue gun to put the sign together, and we put together a lovely grad party. Do we love such parties? No, but we love these girlies. Happy grad, Ellie, Kendall, and Hailey!

I'm not a lush

I am not a lush. I promise I'm not a lush. But man, have we been having fun exploring wineries. Loudoun County is just PACKED with wineries (and breweries but beer is gross). Honestly, you can drive down the country roads and just see one after another after another. And whether you love wine or not, they make for a fun afternoon - good food, live music, and gorgeous scenery. Over the past couple of weekends, we've tried four different places, and had a great time. And I promise, I do NOT have a problem. Much.

WVU New Student Orientation

We're one step closer to Ellie's Mountaineer adventure! We recently drove to West Virginia for Ellie's New Student Orientation. It went great, and I think made Ellie even more excited about going to WVU. We met up with two of her three roomies and their moms, which was really cool.

Just one minor kerfuffle, as we figured out at 10:45pm the night before orientation that we had left Ellie's shoes at home. Since she had worn just slippers on the car ride into town, and there was lots and lots of walking involved in the orientation, this was a bit of a pickle. So please picture Jared and Lydia careening into the Walmart parking lot at 10:55pm (5 minutes before closing) then tearing down the Walmart aisles desperately looking for shoes - really, any shoes.

Thanks to Walmart pricing, we were able to grab a few pairs to choose from, and Ellie did not have to do her orientation in slippers.

We're getting excited for what's ahead!!

Well, our final senior prom is wrapped up! It all went off without a hitch! Ellie had a great time!
